The virtual tour of the Pure Water Project Las Virgenes – Triunfo Demonstration Facility provides an in-depth look at the JPA’s efforts to maximize beneficial reuse and close the sustainability loop. The tour not only gives you an in-depth view of the technology involved in the process of indirect potable reuse, but also showcases the creative side of community outreach and the approach the JPA is taking to properly education the public. Features such as an introduction video explaining the JPA’s unique challenges, a mural, sustainability garden, and a taste-testing center all come together to provide an immersive experience in the world of water reuse within our watershed.
Learning Objectives:
Discuss how a water agency continues to be forward thinking when making choices to "close the sustainability loop" and to embrace innovation to solve big problems at a local level.
Identify where human progression meets environmental integrity and the journey to get there.
Discuss how the demonstration facility encompasses innovation, technology, sustainable concepts, and unique educational concepts.
