Iron is often used at several locations with the wastewater treatment process, including for gas cleaning at digesters. In late 2021 there were several supply chain issues within the iron market for wastewater treatment, and treatment plant operations and managers were left scrambling for alternatives. To prepare for the next time, this webinar on Managing Iron Market Volatility will discuss the issue and provide potential solutions, including potential cost impacts to treatment systems. We will have speakers from the iron supply market along with wastewater agency manages who have successfully sailed through this issue. At the end of the webinar there will be time for questions and discussions of the potential solutions.
You will learn about:
- Understand how iron is used in the wastewater process.
- Understand potential options and alternatives for optimizing the use of iron salts in wastewater treatment.
- Understand the iron supply market and how supply chain issues can impact this market.
