• Become familiar with current information available on the concentration levels of PFAS recorded in WWTP effluents and recycled water.
• Understand some of the implications of the presence or absence of these constituents in wastewater and recycled water.
• Learn about emerging technologies and treatment approaches being developed to reduce PFAS.
• Become familiar with the regulatory plans under development in California.

PFAS in Biosolids
This session will present information about the levels of PFAS in biosolids and emerging regulatory concerns related to this issue. Attendees will gain an understanding about how new and emerging PFAS regulations in California could impact opportunities for biosolids land application, how recently adopted 1383 regulations for organics diversion from landfills puts further stress on biosolids management options, and how these two conflicting regulations might come to head as both programs continue to evolve. Attendees will also gain an understanding of options available for PFAS removal from biosolids using pyrolysis technologies, and some of the benefits and drawbacks of such a strategy.
