Are you interested in learning about treatment processes that make up a typical wastewater treatment plant? Join us for a high-level overview as well as some advanced concepts of each key process stream (solids, liquids, disinfection and reuse). This 4-session webinar series will feature experts and leaders in the wastewater industry! This series includes the following one hour webinars.
Session 1 introduces the wastewater treatment processes, followed by three subsequent sessions on solids, liquids, and disinfection & reuse.
Learning Objectives/Attendee Takeaways:
1. Objectives of wastewater treatment
2. Regulatory context of wastewater treatment
3. Overview of liquid stream treatment, solid stream treatment, and resource recovery
4. Random and hot topics in wastewater treatment
Session 2 introduces the solids stream of the wastewater treatment processes, followed by two subsequent sessions on liquids, and disinfection & reuse.
Learning Objectives/Attendee Takeaways:
1. What are biosolids, how are they used, and how do they fit into California’s climate future?
2. Basics of anaerobic digestion
3. Other Class A biosolid processes used in California
4. Additional solids treatment considerations (thickening and dewatering)
Session 3 introduces the liquids stream of the wastewater treatment processes, followed by a final session on disinfection & reuse.
Learning Objectives/Attendee Takeaways:
1. Function of liquids treatment processes in wastewater treatment
2. What is process intensification, and what are some of the technologies?
3. How liquids treatment fits into the current thinking of nutrient management and integrated resource recovery
Session 4 presents disinfection and reuse.
Learning Objectives/Attendee Takeaways:
1. Purpose of disinfection in wastewater treatment
2. Disinfection targets and surrogates
3. Implementation of disinfection technologies for discharge and reuse
