Ralph Stevens has over 35 years in Water/Wastewater in plants from 1MGD to 900MGD.  His certifications include CMRP Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional, CESCP Certified Electrical Safety Compliance Professional, CWEA Grade 4 E&I, WWTPO Grade 3 and NWEA Mechanical Grade 3. He started out as an electrician in the deep tunnel Chicago and ended up in leadership. Ralph is a strong believer in reliability centered maintenance and thinking thru troubleshooting. He is looking to give back to our industry and help all he can.

He has 5 years experience in designing and administering SCADA systems, and 10 years of experience in network administration. Jason holds a Bachelor's Degree in Information Computer Science from UC Irvine, and is a Certified Control Systems Technician by the ISA.

Laboratory Analyst Coordinator Pretreatment /Industrial Waste

Mary Thompson is the Pretreatment Program Coordinator for the City of Santa Barbara. Mary has worked in the Water/Wastewater industry for over 17 years. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with a Minor In Chemistry from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor. She previously served in the United States Army as a Surgical Technologist. She began her career in Wastewater as a contracted Laboratory Technician at Los Angeles County Sanitation Districts. She then moved on to work as a Laboratory Technician at the City of San Buenaventura. She sought to move forward in her professional development and eventually was promoted from laboratory Analyst to Pretreatment Program Coordinator for the City of Santa Barbara. Mary has been instrumental in developing the City 's Pretreatment Program. Mary was recognized as the TriCounties CWEA 2016 Pretreatment Person of the Year in 2016. Mary has been a member of CWEA since 2005, and an active member since 2013 as a committee member and now on the Board of Directors for the TriCounties section as the Vice President. Mary holds certification as both Laboratory Analyst and Environmental Comliance Inspector.
