This 50 minute session on Short-Duration and Mobile Operations Temporary Traffic Control (TTC) training will focus on temporary work zones that occupy a location for up to one hour or move continuously. This session will review best practices on how to use methods and devices, using more dominant methods to increase notice to drivers, worker visibility and deploy flaggers to be in substantial conformance with the California Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices or CA-MUTCD.

Who Should Attend: Supervisors and workers responsible for traffic control, especially those that work alone, exposed to traffic, for one hour or less.

Peter Kuchinsky
Mr. Peter Kuchinsky II, CSP offers nearly 40 years of experience working in the safety and construction industries. During his career he has held increasing levels of responsibility involving building construction, company safety, and corporate and public agency risk management. His experience and background include holding the position of Safety Director for a commercial general contractor performing $125 million of projects annually for the U.S. military and serving for 20 years as the Lead Risk Advisor with the Association of California Water Agencies/Joint Powers Insurance Authority.
In retirement, Peter continues to provide safety consulting and training for public agencies, insurance carriers and private companies. Throughout his career, Peter has approached issues with practical problem-solving skills and providing workable solutions. Mr. Kuchinsky keeps current within the industry through continuing education, attending seminars, instructing classes in safety related topics, authoring articles, presenting at State and National conferences, and maintaining membership in industry associations such as CWEA.
Mr. Kuchinsky earned his degree from San Diego State University. Professional designations earned include Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Master Safety Professional, Safety Trainer Supervisor – Construction (STS-C) and OSHA – Cal/OSHA Authorized Outreach Trainer. He holds Grade 1 level certificates in Water Distribution, Water Treatment, and Wastewater Collection.
